Ok, so I am completely horrible at keeping up with this thing... I need to change that... I have recently been inspired by Kamee June. She is a photographer out in Cali and I LOOOOOVE her work!! I want to try to shoot more like that- ya know laid back not so posey and forced. I'm shooting a family on Sunday and am VERY excited!! See you all soon! Jess

I know I know it's been awhile since I've been on here.... I did a shoot today with one of the lovely ladies I work with and I'm pretty happy with how they all came out. Thanks Malena! Here is a sneak peak of what I've been up to. Enjoy!

Field Trip

This past weekend I went on a field trip to the country side of the Czech Republic to hear a famous documentary photographer Jindrich Streit speak. He only started shooting at the age of 40 and has 23 photography books he's published over the past 18 years. His stuff can be found at any Barnes and Noble. He was great to hear speak. I had a lot of fun and connected with more people. I have to say Prague is great but the country side is better. It's real, raw and honest. We also had coffee and cakes with two up and coming czech photographers in one of their homes. It was very bohemien quarky and cute. Both of them were extremely down to earth and didn't consider themselves better than others like a lot of American photographers that consider themselves on the "A" list are. Both of them have their work in galleries in the states- in New York and in Philidelphia. Unfortunately I forgot both of their names... It was refreshing and encouraging to meet such interesting, selfless people who happen to be photographers as well.

Prague has been amazing!!! I gotta say it's probably equal to my experience at Hallmark. I've met really great people- some now my life long friends and I'm sad to leave them. But everything has a season. I have one week left and I'm not quite sure what's next on the agenda. I need to seriously buckle down and get some work done... or rather get work. anyway all for now.

So I've been having a great time in Prague... This week I'm really going to pick it up and do a lot of sight-seeing. This past weekend I shot this beautiful girl, Sam and the pictures came out exactly how I had expected... maybe even a little bit better! I'll write more soon!

Hi! It's me! It's been a looooonnng time since I last wrote and I'm sorry!! Well right now I am in Prague for the next month or so. Here I am studying photography more as a theory than as a technical craft. I enjoy the class very much and wish that I had it more than twice a week. When I'm not in class I am exploring the city and seeing the sights. I'll write more while I'm here I promise!! Oh and I still haven't figured out where to move yet, but as of right now I will go anywhere! I'm ready :) toodles!!
